Supportive tooling

The openMINDS framework develops and maintains a set of supportive tools that facilitate the usage of the metadata models and instance libraries for creating a linked data representation of your own research.

Within this chapter, we will teach you in multiple examples how to work with openMINDS from a practical perspective by making use of the available supportive tools.

Note

Please be aware that openMINDS schemas are integrated into the programming language of each supportive tool which may lead to deviations in naming conventions of property names or introduction of class objects for patterned string values.

openMINDS MATLAB

openMINDS MATLAB is a small library to support the creation of openMINDS compliant linked (meta)data collections in MATLAB, with import and export of metadata instances in JSON-LD format.

The package is registered in MATLAB Central - File Exchange.

openMINDS Python

openMINDS Python is a small library to support the creation of openMINDS compliant linked (meta)data collections in your Python application, with import and export of metadata instances in JSON-LD format.

The library is registered in the Python Package Index (PyPI) and can be installed using:

pip install openMINDS
